As a Data Governance Expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless data management and compliance within our organization. • Contributing to data governance programmes and initiatives to ensure data is managed in accordance with company-wide standards and regulatory requirements
• Establishing and expanding the company-wide data catalogue, including actively shaping the use and implementation of the data glossary and data lineage, with the aim of creating a consistent and traceable data foundation and supporting business units during onboarding
• Design and implementation of data quality checks and metrics to ensure the accuracy, consistency and reliability of business-relevant data
• Quality assurance of company-wide KPIs through definition, validation and technical monitoring, in project-specific coordination with business units to establish uniform KPI standards and promote data-driven decision-making
• Monitoring and analysing data quality issues and developing appropriate solutions to continuously improve data integrity

Anforderungen:

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with data governance solutions, particularly data catalogues, data glossaries and data lineage systems
• Understanding of data management practices, methods and tools, for example in the context of Snowflake, Atlan, dbt or Azure Data Factory
• Technical understanding of database architecture, data integration and data modelling
• Excellent analytical skills and a keen instinct for identifying and resolving data issues to ensure a reliable data foundation

 

Additional qualifications

• Prior experience with business intelligence tools such as QlikSense, Tableau or Power BI, as well as programming languages such as Python, R, SQL and database systems such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL
• Proven knowledge of the Atlan Data Governance Platform is a particular advantage.
• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Business Informatics, or equivalent knowledge, combined with a keen interest in technical and legal issues relating to data governance and data quality
